What we do
Most jobs touch more than one trade. Rather than chase three contractors and hope they turn up in the right order, book the lot through us and we'll sequence it.
The list on the fridge — shelves, door adjustments, patch-and-paint, flat-pack builds and everything too small for a specialist.
Burst pipes, blocked drains, hot water units, taps and mixers, toilet and cistern repairs, and leak tracing before it reaches the ceiling.
Switchboard upgrades, safety switches, power points, lighting, ceiling fans, fault finding and pre-sale safety checks.
Built-in storage, stairs and balustrades, door hanging, timber repairs and custom joinery cut to fit an old house that isn't square.
Interior and exterior repaints, weatherboard prep, plaster repair, feature walls and the cutting-in nobody enjoys doing themselves.
Garden bed rebuilds, retaining walls, irrigation, turf, pruning and seasonal tidy-ups on a schedule that suits you.
Tile and metal roof repairs, gutter replacement, downpipes, leak diagnosis and clean-outs before storm season arrives.
Bathroom and laundry membranes, wall and floor tiling, regrouting, silicone renewal and shower base repairs done to standard.
General pest treatments, rodent proofing, ant and spider programmes and timber pest inspections for older weatherboards.
Split system supply and install, ducted servicing, gas heater checks, filter cleans and diagnostics when a unit stops behaving.
Driveways, paths, slabs and shed bases, plus paving repairs and levelling where tree roots have had their way.
Boundary fences, gates that actually latch, deck builds and re-boarding, plus oiling and repairs on the deck you already have.
Callout & hourly rate estimator
Pick the trade, tell us how urgent it is and roughly how long you think it'll take. We'll show the callout fee, the hourly rate that applies and an indicative total — with the whole rate card printed underneath so you can check the arithmetic yourself.
Labour is billed in half-hour blocks with a one-hour minimum. Not sure? Most small repairs land between one and two hours.
Rates shown include GST. Materials, parts and any tip or disposal fees are quoted separately once we've seen the job.
For Plumbing, standard booking.
Indicative total
$260 – $340
Callout plus labour, before materials.
This is an indicative estimate, not a quote. A fixed price is confirmed on site — or in writing beforehand for anything we can scope from photos.
Standard weekday hourly rates, GST inclusive. Same-day multiplies the hourly rate by 1.25, after-hours by 1.6, and each urgency tier carries its own callout fee.
Standard
$70 callout · rate × 1.00
Same-day
$110 callout · rate × 1.25
After-hours
$160 callout · rate × 1.60
The estimate range allows for the job running a little under or a little over: the low figure is 10% below callout plus labour, the high figure 15% above, each rounded to the nearest $10.
Roof, subfloor, switchboard, drain. If it's the part of the house you'd rather not look at, that's usually where we are.
How a booking runs
Four steps, and you'll hear from us at each one. We book two-hour arrival windows rather than "sometime Tuesday", and we text when the van leaves the previous job.
Start a booking01
Call or send the form with a couple of photos. We'll tell you which trade you actually need, even if it isn't the one you asked for.
02
Standard, same-day or after-hours. You'll get the callout fee and hourly rate in writing before anyone is dispatched.
03
If the job is bigger than the phone call suggested, we stop and tell you what it now costs before continuing.
04
Itemised labour, materials and callout. Site left clean, offcuts taken away, and a note of anything we spotted for later.

What locals say
"Hot water went at 6pm on a Sunday. The after-hours rate was on the website, matched the invoice exactly, and we had showers by Monday morning."
"Booked them for a deck and ended up having the fence and the switchboard done in the same fortnight. One invoice, one point of contact, no chasing."
"They found the leak was coming from the roof, not the bathroom, and said so before charging me for a bathroom job. That's the whole reason we call them now."
Common questions
Yes. The callout covers travel, the vehicle and the first attendance; labour is billed separately by the half hour with a one-hour minimum. Both figures are in the estimator above.
For anything we can scope properly — a deck, a repaint, a switchboard upgrade — we'd rather quote a fixed price in writing. Hourly suits repairs and fault finding, where nobody knows the answer until the wall is open.
Anything outside 7am–5pm on a weekday, plus all day Sunday and public holidays. Saturday mornings are standard rate until 2pm.
Our standard area is roughly Footscray out to Altona and up to Sunshine. Further afield we'll still come, but there may be additional travel added to the callout — we'll say so before booking.
Yes — every trade we send is appropriately licensed for the work they carry out, and we hold public liability cover. Licence details go on every invoice and are available on request before you book.
Tell us what's on it and we'll tell you which trades it needs, what it's likely to cost, and the first window we can get there.
