The family behind the toolbox

Three generations, one workshop, and a stubborn belief that good work speaks for itself.

Founder Arthur Holloway with his original 1978 work van

1978

the beginning

From a kitchen table to your front door

Arthur Holloway started fixing neighbours' pipes with a toolbox and a bicycle. Word spread — he never left a job until it was right, and he always cleaned the floor before he left.

His son Michael brought the electrical trade in the 90s. Now grandchildren Ellie and Sam run the building and plumbing crews. The vans are shinier, but the handshake is the same.

We've never advertised on billboards. Almost every job comes from a neighbour who told a neighbour — and that's exactly how we like it.

What we stand for

Values passed down the bench

Craftsmanship

We'd rather do it once, properly, than come back twice. Every joint, every wire, done with pride.

Honesty

Clear quotes, no surprises. If a repair is cheaper than a replacement, we'll tell you.

Community

We hire local, sponsor local, and look after the neighbours who've looked after us.
